The news for now. Record Sale.

Friday, December 15th, 2006

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted so I thought you  were all due for an update. It really has been a long time. It’s been so long that all the songs have changed since the last time I posted. (I put the songs up as I make them. I put them up even when I think they’re 100% done, that way I’ll have a little extra incentive knowing that there’s something that’s a little rough around the edges out there for everyone to see.)  Yesterday night I posted a song called “The Life We Lead” and sometime last week I posted two new songs: “Searching” and “Neon Child.” I’ve been sending out press kits to labels, looking for someone to back me making a studio record. And if that don’t work out, well I’ve been saving my dimes–I might back one myself. Other than that? Oh, we went to the record sale last sunday, I picked myself up a copy of T. Rex’s “Beard of Stars.” I’ve never seen a real live copy in the flesh so it was quite a find. I like it quite a bit…and what else…some Adam Ant…some Guns’N'Roses…that Ian McColloch record that Steve (from the 8mm Fuzz) found so long ago that he played me. That’s pretty great. Quite a breadth of different records I got. More to come.

Love,
RK
